The Code Style site has evolved by gradual refinement and accumulation of features and content. This review is part of a fully backdated site log and archive that sheds light on when, why and how particular features were implemented.
This log is sometimes updated several times per week, sometimes with a long overdue backlog of items. Many log entries refer to the Code Style Java package that delivers the servlet services and utilities used to manage this site.

Reverse chronology

Corrected an incorrect 404 reference in the custom error 400, bad request article.
12th February 2002
Reduced external style reference in FontSampler servlet to standard livery stylesheet only and added more precise inline margin values to the samples. Reinstated the #Content div element.
4th February 2002
Added a trailing slash to the Soupermail script link on the November 2001 site log page. Also finished a first draft Unix font survey results page for later update and publication.
3rd February 2002
Updated Mac font survey results and Windows font survey results and sent notification to all subscribers.
2nd February 2002
Added a new test case 4 server side include to all relevant test case documents in the CSS media monitor section to summarise results for Internet Explorer 4.01 for Mac.
1st February 2002
Corrected an improper first-letter pseudoclass example from the CSS glossary and removed the url value from the list of properties.
