The most common Windows fonts
The most common reported fonts on the Windows platform are changing rank as the more comprehensive results of the font survey applet begin to affect the average frequency. The Windows system font Microsoft Sans Serif is reported in practically 100% of recent submissions, with the heavy sans serif Arial Black in second place at 98% frequency. These are followed by the sans serif Verdana, serif Palatino Linotype and Franklin Gothic Medium completes the top 5 Windows fonts.

These figures are the cumulative total of about 7 Windows survey submissions per week since January 2004, 2377 total. The Windows applet-based survey was introduced on 21 April 2007 and is currently recording the frequency of 281 of the most common Windows fonts.
